My birthday
Hello! I am currently sitting at home sick, trying to drink lots of fluids so I get better soon. I started to get sick a couple of days ago and then it got way worse yesterday which was my birthday. I felt better yesterday morning so I went to work but by the time I left work I was feeling awful. I got home and Gregg told me that he had to prepare for my birthday so he needed me out of the house. He told me to go and get a manicure and pedicure while he prepared. I felt so terrible that I actually declined going to get my nails and toes pampered. Instead, I went upstairs and laid down. He was so sweet and even though I was sick he still made my birthday so special. He cleaned the tub so I could take a bath in a freshly cleaned tub and he made me tea with lemon and honey. I normally don't like tea but it felt so good on my throat. Then he set me up in the bedroom with a movie and came up about every 30 minutes asking if I wanted anything else. He was running around the house so excited to make everything special. It was adorable. Then he called me down after my movie was over and had a romantic candlelight dinner ready with spaghetti and sparkling apple cider. It was so good. Then he told me to save room for desert and brought out the birthday cake he had made. He said it was pretty hard to find pink frosting so he searched everywhere for food coloring and made his own. Then he couldn't find funfetti cake mix (my favorite) so he got white cake mix and added sprinkles. I thought that was pretty clever of him. He did such a good job making my day special and he took so much pride in everything he did. You could tell that my reaction to each surprise meant the world to him. And not only did he do a great job on the meal and the cake, but he also did a great job picking out my presents all by himself. He got me an adorable trench coat, some Kate Spade rain boots, slipper socks and some fuzzy chenille socks. I definitely give him an A++++ for making my day so special!

Swine Flu Vaccine...
Hello:) I normally write about things I see and places I visit over here but my dad sent me this video and I had to share it with you all as well. Apparently there was a group of children in Oklahoma who were used as guinea pigs for the testing of the swine flu vaccine when doctors themselves are refusing to take it and telling their families not to take it either. The way it is looking, we may be forced to take it. The government officials are wanting to begin a forced immunization of the swine flu vaccine where as the medical community is saying that the public needs to be warned of its side effects and allowed to make that decision on their own. Once again the government is telling us that they know best. I am a reasonable person and I think I can make a deal with the government. I will get the immunization if I can go right after the Obama family. Deal? The link above will take you to the YouTube video.

Pumpkin Picking
Hello! Today was a fun day. Gregg and I went to a pumpkin patch near our house and picked a couple of great pumpkins we are going to carve. We also had some of the best donuts I have ever had. They were homemade and they were wonderful. They were light and fluffy and had just a little sugar on them. Also, the hot chocolate was so good and so cute. The little chocolate stick you see sticking out of it is part of the cuteness and it was also really good. We had a lot of fun. We cant wait to take our baby there next year and take pictures. Afterwards we went home and at some food before going to Bury St. Edmunds to shop and look around a little. We had a Starbucks date and I got a cute pink hat so it was a lot of fun! Hope you enjoy the pictures! Bye!

Thanks?
OKay so even though I am normally a dramatic person, I assure you I am not being dramatic when I say that it felt like I pulled a muscle this morning when I tried to put my shoes on. There is something in the way, hindering me from doing something I normally quite enjoy. Okay so I am getting bigger and rounder these days and I know it. I presume its normal. Anyways, as a pregnant woman I am starting to understand something that I never understood fully before. You know when people talk about how annoying it is for strangers to come up and touch their belly etc? Well, I have something else that is quite annoying that people I know do. Okay so every day when I walk into work, I am told by at least three people at the front desk that I am getting bigger. At first it was cute and I would get excited and say, "I know"! It only becomes annoying when its the only thing anyone can think to talk to you about. I am not joking even a little bit when I say that EVERY time I see ANYONE at work, they feel the need to tell me how big I am getting. It doesnt matter if I am wearing a cute outfit or if my hair is done cute...all they care about is how big I am getting. I cant wait to be like literally about to pop and hear the things they say when they see me then. My mom said they will say things like, "Are you still carrying that thing"? OR "You look like you are about to pop. When is that thing coming out"? I have decided that I will just start saying thank you when people tell me how huge I am. The other day I was having a day where I felt particularly huge and so this conversation with a fellow coworker didnt make things any better. The conversation went like this:
Coworker: Wow you look a lot bigger.
Me: Yeah I really started to show around 6 months. It seems like it just popped all of the sudden.
Coworker: NO, I mean since yesterday!
Me: Oh. Well I assure you I have not gotten larger since yesterday...but THANKS:)
When I feel huge, cant fit into my clothes anymore and cant even tie my shoes I just think about the reason I am doing this. I feel her kick sometimes when I am frustrated and I remember that this too will pass and I will have a wonderful baby girl to show for it. Pretty soon, not only will I not be able to put my shoes on, but I wont be able to see them anymore either. I have accepted this fact but I will not stop wearing cute shoes. I will just have Gregg put them on for me and they will be cute for everyone else to see. Anways, I just thought I would share the first of my pregnancy woes with you. Tomorrow we are going to a pumpkin patch and then we are going shopping and on a date to Bury. I will have to blog and show you pictures of our adventures! Bye!

Shopping in Newmarket
Hello, I thought I would write quick and show you some pictures first off of me at 6 1/2 months and also I wanted to tell you about my day.
It really is not all that big of a feat but I braved the road that takes you to London today all alone and went to Newmarket to shop and look around a little. Gregg would have taken me but he has to work today. I felt so big there all by myself. I got a little freaked out when I got there because I couldn't remember which way to go at the roundabout but after a quick turnaround I figured things out.
I just parked at the mall and walked down to the town center. Its nice also because parking is free on Sundays. Anyways, here are a couple of pictures of me today and also of one of my main motivations for going to Newmarket. I will write soon! Bye!

2009 Lectureship
Hello, today we went to the Hinchinbrooke House in Huntington, formerly owned by Oliver Cromwell. The 2009 lectureship was held there and the subject of the lectureship was "The Darwin Delusion".
It was an awesome lectureship with some really good speakers. It was an all day affair that they do once a year here where 5 men come over from the states and teach on various topics. It was great to meet brethren from surrounding churches and I found the lectures to be very uplifting. My faith was strengthened tremendously by hearing the proof there is of creation. Don't get me wrong, I have always believed that God created the heavens and the earth as it says in the Bible but hearing all of the evidence just blew me away.
There is absolutely no truth to Evolution. Anyways, I could go on and on about the things I learned but I will just say that it was excellent. We both really enjoyed it. Its funny because we drove and had the preacher from church with us who is also American and he told us that it would be best to leave the lectureship during lunch time and get something to eat because the food they serve is scary. He ended up being right so we went to McDonald's.
We had a nice day there and then one of the speakers from the lectureship, who is staying with us, took us out to dinner. We were a little afraid because it is British food but we had heard of a Mexican restaurant that really is very American and in so being, very yummy. We decided to try it and we were not disappointed.
We are tired from being out all day so we are just sitting around tonight, relaxing. Anyways, I think I am going to find my pajamas and slippers. I will write again soon! Bye!

Friday Night
Hello! I thought I would just post and let everyone know what we are up to. I do not have much to talk about that is all that exciting but Gregg and I did have a date tonight. We got pizza and candy and had a candlelight date. We played a video game called Nazi Zombies which sounds a little weird but its really fun. It was raining and cold outside so this seemed like the perfect Friday night date. Hope everyone is doing well. Bye!

We offer you our protection...
OKay so...this weekend started nicely with finding out Friday afternoon that Gregg's Jeep was broken into. He had off Friday so he didn't know until he tried to come and meet me for lunch and his car wouldn't start. Unless the person did it in broad daylight, it must have happened the night before when we were sleeping. They broke in, stole a bunch of military stuff and tried to start the car with a screwdriver. When they had completely messed up the ignition thingy, they broke all the plastic surrounding the steering wheel trying to get to the wires. Something must have startled them because they didn't cut any wires. Anyways, so once we found out, we immediately did what most people would do and called the police. Well we are in England and since they don't do anything very quickly around here, we waited like 4 or 5 hours to have someone finally make it to our house. We imagined their conversation went a little bit like this...
(After we call and tell them our situation)
Bob: Uhhhhhh....we are not really sure how to handle this here sitchyation...uhhhhh.... (scratching his head and reaching for a donut)....Fred what do we do?
Fred: I don't know Bob. Tell them we are busy and to call back later
Bob: We are busy dealing with cop stuff so we will be out there in 5 years after we handle all the things we have to handle right now...uhhh...
Fred: Bob do you want your chocolate glazed donut with sprinkles on it?
So we just figured they had better, more important things to handle. At first we were told they might not even make it out that day. Ohh oh and the best part about them coming out is that we had a FORENSIC guy show up to dust the inside and outside of the Jeep for fingerprints! I thought this was hilarious! Then it gets even better. So after the Forensic guy leaves, the police call us to get details for the police report. After they have taken all of our information they asked us if we wanted protection! I am not really sure what this protection would have entailed because my husband turned it down! We could have had a personal body guard or something cool like that. I tried to call them back and tell them that we did actually want protection but Gregg wouldn't let me. We will probably never be offered police protection again in our lives and he turned it down! My mom and I were practically rolling on the floor laughing about this whole idea of being offered protection. I guess I will just have to remain my normal, unprotected self since Gregg turned it down. Anyways, I will let you know if anything else eventful happens. Bye!
