My absolute favorite store over here is Accesorize. The name says it all. They have the cutest accessories EVER. These pictures do not even come close to showing you all they carry. I feel so overwhelmed when I walk in. CUTENESS is everywhere. Here are some pictures of some things I love.

A Day by the Seaside

Hello, I am going to go to the seaside with friends on Wednesday. We are deciding on whether we should go to Cromer or Hunstanton. What do you think?

Here are a few pictures I googled of Cromer:

And here are a few of Hunstanton:

I think its a tough choice! Comment and let me know what you would decide.

Another Project

Hello...I am in a posting mood. Anyways, here is a project we have been working on. I think it is lovely:) I have wanted an armoire/entertainment center forever! My sister Kristin's entertainment center was my inspiration and so for the past few months I have been looking. I finally found what I was looking for and I am so excited!
P.S. If you zoom in enough you can see the hinges are not yet painted. Or rather they have paint on them. We have not taken a picture of the completely finished project yet.

Project

We have painted a lot lately and have taken on several projects over the last few weeks. We are in a decorating mood I guess. I bought these chairs from a lady over here who lives a few hours away. I went all by myself to get them and got lost only briefly. I was proud when I came home. I went and I conquered. These chairs are currently in the process of being made over. Think Leopard chenille. I got both of the for $36 dollars. They needed a lot of work when we got them. Gregg took them apart and put them back together way better and way more sturdy. We also tore out the foam and once I get the foam in the mail along with the leopard chenille fabric, we will be in business. I am also painting them. Gregg has them completely sanded so all I have to do is get to work! I will post pictures when they are complete. I am picturing them in the lonely nook in our living room with a round pedestal table in between them...perhaps chocolate brown. Sounds yummy!

Sweet Girl

Ava

Ava is getting so much bigger and more mobile by the day. She stands up on everything and she tries to stand on her own. That doesn't work out so well. However, even after several falls, she keeps trying. I am seeing something in Ava that scares me a little bit. She is extremely persistent. While persistence can be a great trait, it can also be a very bad one. Anyone who knew me as a child or anyone who has heard stories of me as a child would understand why that particular trait frightens me. I told my mom I have a little me on my hands. Ave understands "no touch" and has recently been listening really well when she hears it. However, there are times when she goes back at whatever we told her not to touch...OVER AND OVER AGAIN. I also have a story of a terrible disaster that happened just a few days ago.
BLUE OIL BASED PAINT + new parent (stupid and leaves things open) + Ava crawling= DISASTER
Okay, so we painted our table like a Robin Egg blue (it turned out SO CUTE). SOOO we had a lot of blue paint to do this project with. I left the top off the paint when I went to pour some of it into a paint tray. Ava is very mobile. BAD COMBINATION. The next thing I hear is Ava's excited crawl. Most parents have most likely heard the noise their child makes when crawling towards something they are itching to get their hands on. Combine that sound with the gulp sound of paint tipping over. AN ENTIRE GALLON OF BLUE OIL BASED PAINT. Oh my goodness I had no idea what to do when I walked around the corner and saw Ava covered in paint and the carpet drinking more paint by the second. First I took Ava who thankfully was wearing long sleeves and long pants and took her clothes off of her. Then I scrubbed her hands, feet and the little smudge on her face. After doing this, I put her in her Bumbo beside me and got to work on the carpet. I scrubbed for a few hours...after pouring the only thing I thought might help at all on the carpet. Paint thinner. I figured the carpet was ruined anyway so I might as well try. Well long story short, we got it ALL out of the carpet and Ava was fine. I think that was probably the scariest thing I have ever seen so far in my life. And she is only 7 months old. Well that's all I've got for now but I will be writing tomorrow because I am going to Cambridge to look around downtown and get lunch with some friends who also have little babies. It should be fun! I will post about that tomorrow!

Gregg Was Promoted!

We just found out today that Gregg was promoted to Staff Sergeant! He studied like crazy and we prayed about it as well. He will now be a supervisor. We thank God for this answer to prayers!

Bad Blogger- Ava is now 7 months and 5 days!

Hello! I am sorry I have been such a bad blogger lately. Gregg and I (and Ava...I will tell you about that later) have been painting a lot in the last couple of weeks. We have been really busy! Anyways, here are the pictures I took of Ava at 7 months old. As you can see, I couldn't keep her sitting down.

Ava Crawling

Sorry it has taken so long! The last video I tried to upload was too big apparently and I kid you not it took like 6 hours to upload so I finally just decided to take another one. Here is a video I took this morning. Ava is also standing up on everything! She is nuts. The other day she stood up using the chair and then she let go! She fell of course but I have a feeling it wont be long before I post a video of her walking.

Ava is growing up...

Hello! Sorry I haven't blogged in a long time. I have been so busy lately but I have a lot to tell. Ava is crawling/squirming/doing the worm. She is definitely on the move! I also spent like at least an hour the other day teaching her how to sit up from the position of being on her belly. I just helped her do the motions over and over until finally she did it on her own! No more tummy time for Ava. Oh and the greatest news of all is...she has two front bottom teeth!!! I am so excited! I have tried to get a picture of them but she fights me so much each time, I have to pretty much tackle her to get the picture...and that doesn't make a very nice picture. I will get her to smile soon and hopefully I will get a picture of her sweet teeth:)Anyways, I will update you with more pictures soon. I promise I will be better at blogging from now on.
P.S. Zoom in on the second picture and you can kind of see her teeth...kinda.
