Recent pictures of the little one...

Hello! Ava is doing really well. She is such a sweet baby. She is constantly smiling but has not really laughed yet...not when she is awake at least!

She laughs when she is sleeping lol! Also, I am beginning to be sure that she wont be a thumb sucker.

She loves her pacifier and although she puts her hands in her mouth, she doesn't just put her thumb in her mouth. Today I was drinking coffee and I was watching her as she was intently staring at my mouth and at the coffee cup.

She started to lick the air and then she started smacking her lips together and staring at my coffee. I thought it was funny so I started smacking my lips together as well. When I did this, she started smacking more emphatically and shoved her hand in her mouth.

Less than a minute later, the just fed Ava was crying hysterically to be fed. I can understand exactly how she felt. You know the feeling too.

Have you ever seen a commercial for a really yummy looking burger or desert and rushed out to buy it a minute later? I have!

Here are some pictures that were taken in the last couple of days. She is such a little cutie!

Ava talking...trying to anyways!

I love this outfit! I bought it. I loved buying it because I have hardly had to buy her anything and picking out baby clothes is so much fun! She got so many cute clothes thanks to all of our friends and family. She really has a lot of clothes but I couldn't pass this outfit up:)

Thank God for Little Babies!

How can anyone not KNOW there is a God when they see little babies?

Ava is such a blessing.

I looked at an ultrasound at nine weeks and I remembered how adorable it was watching her move and squirm around on the screen.

She was a tiny person!

Thank God for little babies:)

For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.

Tummy Time Made Better!

Hello! Thanks everyone for the great advice on how to make tummy time more enjoyable! It has helped a lot to use the Boppy Pillow.

She still cries a little at first but she is not as distraught as she used to be. I also used the advice about putting a mirror down for her to see and that seems to make her happy as well. Thanks everyone!

Shower Time

Ava LOVES taking showers with me. She sits in her Bumbo seat (thanks Kristin and Kevin) and really likes it because the seat fills with water a little bit. I just wash her up and then she sits in her seat while I take a shower. Every once in a while she will whine for me to spray her with water and then when I do she gets a look of pure bliss on her face. She is in heaven. Here are some pictures of her today when we were getting ready for a shower.
Sad Ava.

Happy Ava. (Sorry, its hard to see because of the steam)

This is Ava after her shower...she hasn't exploded yet. She HATES getting out of the shower.

Sad Ava.

Poor little girl...

WE NOW KNOW EATING AT LEAST ONE CRUNCHIE A DAY MAKES YOU LIVE A REALLY LONG LIFE

You may be wondering how I know this. I don't. That was a made up title but I am testing out this theory of mine. They are wonderfully delicious and oh so nutritious. They are the best candy bar ever and I urge all of you to eat one a day.

Oh wait, you cant! That is one good thing about being here in England. I have Crunchies at my disposal. Okay, so since I wrote about a particular candy here the other day, you probably think I am a crazy lady who sits and eats candy all day long. No, I am currently trying to lose the last of my pregnancy weight. I just write about candy!

P.S. MOM BACK ME UP! They are DELICIOUS.

It's hard being a baby!

Hello! Here are some pictures of Ava having tummy time. I know that she needs to have time on her tummy every day but its so hard to do. She cries the whole time and she looks just pitiful!

The pediatrician told me to try putting a rolled up blanket under her arms so she isn't having to fight to keep her face out of the blanket so much of the time. I tried that and she seems to do a little better. She still hates it though.

She also has a runny nose right now so you can hear her sniffling while she cries. She got a little cold but she is recovering from it now and she is doing well. Poor little girl!

P.S. Thanks Jason and Jenifer for the cute outfit!

Thank You Great Grandma Smith!

Gregg's great grandmother sent us a really sweet gift and I wanted to show it to all of you.

You can click on the picture and see everything up close but one thing really stood out to me. She made her a blanket to match her bedroom:) I thought it was so sweet of her to pay attention to the color scheme of her room and make a blanket to match. As you can see, Ava loves it!

Thank you for everything Grandma Smith:) Ava can thank you later!

Oma and Opa

I love the names Oma and Opa. They are German for Grandma and Grandpa. My nieces and nephew call my parents Nanny and Papa which is adorable but i can almost hear Ava saying, "I want to call my Oma" or "I want to talk to my Opa". I will have to restrain from squeezing her when she says these names. It will be so darn cute!

I love this video!
