We offer you our protection...

OKay so...this weekend started nicely with finding out Friday afternoon that Gregg's Jeep was broken into. He had off Friday so he didn't know until he tried to come and meet me for lunch and his car wouldn't start. Unless the person did it in broad daylight, it must have happened the night before when we were sleeping. They broke in, stole a bunch of military stuff and tried to start the car with a screwdriver. When they had completely messed up the ignition thingy, they broke all the plastic surrounding the steering wheel trying to get to the wires. Something must have startled them because they didn't cut any wires. Anyways, so once we found out, we immediately did what most people would do and called the police. Well we are in England and since they don't do anything very quickly around here, we waited like 4 or 5 hours to have someone finally make it to our house. We imagined their conversation went a little bit like this...
(After we call and tell them our situation)
Bob: Uhhhhhh....we are not really sure how to handle this here sitchyation...uhhhhh.... (scratching his head and reaching for a donut)....Fred what do we do?
Fred: I don't know Bob. Tell them we are busy and to call back later
Bob: We are busy dealing with cop stuff so we will be out there in 5 years after we handle all the things we have to handle right now...uhhh...
Fred: Bob do you want your chocolate glazed donut with sprinkles on it?

So we just figured they had better, more important things to handle. At first we were told they might not even make it out that day. Ohh oh and the best part about them coming out is that we had a FORENSIC guy show up to dust the inside and outside of the Jeep for fingerprints! I thought this was hilarious! Then it gets even better. So after the Forensic guy leaves, the police call us to get details for the police report. After they have taken all of our information they asked us if we wanted protection! I am not really sure what this protection would have entailed because my husband turned it down! We could have had a personal body guard or something cool like that. I tried to call them back and tell them that we did actually want protection but Gregg wouldn't let me. We will probably never be offered police protection again in our lives and he turned it down! My mom and I were practically rolling on the floor laughing about this whole idea of being offered protection. I guess I will just have to remain my normal, unprotected self since Gregg turned it down. Anyways, I will let you know if anything else eventful happens. Bye!

Its a girl!

Hello! Its been a while since I have written so I thought I would let everyone know the good news that I am having a little girl. We are so excited! I cant wait to dress her in cute little outfits. I am planning her nursery now and buying the things I need to furnish and decorate it. Its hard because I am buying a lot of things from the states online and it will take some time for it to get here.

I already feel in a panic to get everything done but I know I have a while to go. I am six months Wednesday so I am getting there but I am not quite there yet. Its funny because I went to work after I found out it was a girl ( I work at a day care) and all of the kids had been voting on whether it would be a boy or a girl. I found out some of the kids actually just said either boy or girl but some elaborated further and said it was going to be a boy alien or a girl butterfly. I don't think they have the concept completely down yet so it was hilarious to hear their reactions.

I showed one ultrasound picture where you can see the baby looking right at the camera to a little girl. Obviously the picture looked a little scary because it was a skeleton so I thought I would get her reaction by showing it to her. I let her see it and then asked her what she thought about it and she said, "I don't know...maybe its a monster". I laughed so hard because she said it with the most confused/scared look I have ever seen. Kids say the funniest things so I am excited to see what our little one will come up with. Anyways, I also posted some pictures we took today. I sent them to my mom trying to show her my stomach and she still isn't impressed. They just laugh every time I try to show them how big I am getting. Well I will write soon when I have something to write about. I will have to post pictures of the baby's room also as I am making progress. You will be hearing from me soon. Bye!

London

Hello! We went to London for the first time yesterday with friends from church. It was really fun and crazy and stressful...all at the same time. If you choose to go to London at any point, I would not recommend going on a Saturday.
It was really really busy. Needless to say, we had lots of fun and took lots of pictures. I would have to say that the highlight of my day was definitely going to the Cath Kidston store that took us 8 years to find. I felt like a kid in a candy store walking into Cath Kidston.

It was so bright and wonderful. I felt overwhelmed. I loved it so much I thought I would take a few pictures to share with all of you, but then the mean lady who worked there told me that I could not take pictures inside the store because she was worried I was a secret spy sent to take all their good ideas.

Well, she didn't say those exact words but she said something about copyright infringement. I could only stand with my mouth open in shock as I thought that she just infringed my joy!

Anyways, I had lots of fun in the store and bought some gifts for certain family members. I also bought an umbrella and some dish washing gloves. So other than my trip to Cath Kidston, we did see some cool historical places as well.

I am glad we went to them first because at the end of the day I only had energy for shopping.

We saw Westminster Abbey, the London Eye which is the ferris wheel thing, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament which Gregg and I are standing in front of on the bridge.

It was really fun seeing all of these historical places, even though I am not a historical buff and have no idea what they are or what they do but at least I saw them.

I do know that they told me about each of these places but I was too busy wondering when we were going to go to Cath Kidston and wondering where all the shopping was.

I personally think they should not have all the historical things in one area because that can be overwhelming but rather they should mix it up with some cool shops in between. I just came up with that. I think its a great idea.

Anyways, these are pics of my trip to London. It was a lot of fun and we are glad we got to go. I will write the next time I go on an adventure. Bye!

Stuck!

Hello:) I am a little stuck and I was wondering if anyone could offer any suggestions. I am pregnant as you all probably know by now and I am pretty sure I am having a girl. I have not had that confirmed yet but I am already planning a nursery for a girl because I have a gut feeling. Anyways...I cannot think of any themes for a girl room that really stand out to me. I looked online at fabrics from jcarolinecreative.com and I have looked at Cath Kidston fabrics as well. I see a lot of cute fabrics but nothing stands out to me. I have not found anything that I just love. I know that for a boy I am thinking I will do an airplane theme since my husband is in the airforce so thats easy but I am stuck on the girl theme. I think I am flustered because I see so many cute things and I have no idea what to do. Help!

Motivation

HERE IS MY MOTIVATION. I LOVE THEM. I MUST HAVE THEM. I could have them now but I have told myself that I must establish a good running record before I can have them. I ran yesterday and today and I have decided that I have to run or work out 5 out of 7 days for two weeks and I get them! They will make me run fast and jump high! Every girl could get motivated by these cute shoes. I will let you know how they are when I get them:)

P.S. I think I can justify ordering them now because they take like two weeks to come in the mail...right? Right?

Just to say hello...

Hello! There is really not a lot new going on today or even this weekend. We went bowling on Saturday and I cooked some homemade chocolate chip cookies. Today we went to church and we are preparing lunch now. We have the Bible study tonight at our house and we are studying Christian Apologetics so it should be interesting. We had about 6 people here last week and are expecting more this week. We had someone take a picture of us in front of the church building here so you all can see a glimpse of us and where we attend. Hope all is well with all of you! I will be writing again soon. Bye!

Our date in Newmarket

Hello! I have not posted in a long long time. I have been really boring lately. I go to work, come home and make food, sit and rest and go to bed. Well this weekend Gregg and I went on a date to an Italian restaurant called Prezzos we had heard about in Newmarket. I got Chicken Parmesan with penne noodles and Gregg got something weird as usual.

I stick with what I know and he tries new things. I like the same old thing because you know exactly what you are getting. Well since we are no longer in America, I have to try new things. The dish was okay but not great.

They really don't have the seasoning thing down yet. We got garlic bread and marinara sauce for a starter. It was really good! They know what they are doing when it comes to garlic bread. I also ordered a water thinking I would try and be cheap. Well, they brought out a glass bottled water! I was like oh man I should have been cheap and got the soda instead. It was a fun date and it was a nice restaurant for England. I still say that Johnny Carino's in Oklahoma city is way better.
Anyways, we want to go back and see one of the horse races when we can. I have said before that Newmarket is really big on horse racing so we want to see one of those someday soon. Well that's all I have to say for now! I go in about a week to find out the gender of my baby so I will let you know what I find out! Bye!
